BNV : দায়ূদ যখন কীশের পুত্র শৌলের ভয়ে গা ঢাকা দিয়েছিলেন তখন য়ে সমস্ত যোদ্ধারা সিক্লগে তাঁর কাছে এসেছিল এটি হল তাদের তালিকা| তারা দায়ূদকে যুদ্ধে সাহায্য করেছিল|

BNV : এঁরা য়ে কোন হাতেই তীর ছুঁড়তে পারতো, দু’হাতে গুলতিও চালাতে পারতো| এঁরা সকলেই বিন্যামীনের পরিবারগোষ্ঠীর সদস্য এবং শৌলের আত্মীয় ছিল|

BNV : গাদ পরিবারগোষ্ঠীর একাংশও মরুভূমিতে দায়ূদের দুর্গে গিয়ে তাঁর সঙ্গে য়োগ দিয়েছিলেন| এরাও সকলেই সিংহের মত পরাএমশালী এবং কুশলী যোদ্ধা ছিলেন| বর্শা আর ঢাল নিয়ে যুদ্ধ করা ছাড়াও এঁরা সকলেই পাহাড়ী পথে হরিণের মত দৌড়তে পারতেন|
KJV : And of the Gadites there separated themselves unto David into the hold to the wilderness men of might, [and] men of war [fit] for the battle, that could handle shield and buckler, whose faces [were like] the faces of lions, and [were] as swift as the roes upon the mountains;

ERVEN : Part of the tribe of Gad joined David at his fortress in the desert. They were brave soldiers trained for war and skilled with the shield and spear. They looked as fierce as lions, and they could run as fast as gazelles through the mountains.

BNV : দায়ূদ তাঁদের সঙ্গে দেখা করে বললেন, “আপনারা যদি শান্তিতে আমাকে সাহায্য করতে এসে থাকেন তাহলে আমি আপনাদের সকলকে স্বাগত জানাচ্ছি| কিন্তু আমি কিছু অন্যায় না করা সত্ত্বেও আপনারা যদি আমার প্রতি বিশ্বাসঘাতকতা করতে এসে থাকেন তাহলে আমার পূর্বপুরুষদের ঈশ্বর য়েন তা দেখেন এবং আপনাদের শাস্তি দেন|”
KJV : And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come peaceably unto me to help me, mine heart shall be knit unto you: but if [ye be come] to betray me to mine enemies, seeing [there is] no wrong in mine hands, the God of our fathers look [thereon,] and rebuke [it. ]
YLT : and David goeth out before them, and answereth and saith to them, `If for peace ye have come in unto me, to help me, I have a heart to unite with you; and if to betray me to mine adversaries -- without violence in my hands -- the God of our fathers doth see and reprove.`

ESV : David went out to meet them and said to them, "If you have come to me in friendship to help me, my heart will be joined to you; but if to betray me to my adversaries, although there is no wrong in my hands, then may the God of our fathers see and rebuke you."
ERVEN : David went out to meet them and said, "If you have come in peace to help me, I welcome you. Join me. But if you have come to spy on me when I have done nothing wrong, may the God of our ancestors see what you did and punish you."

BNV : অমাসয় ছিলেন সেই তিরিশ জন বীরের নেতা| তখন আত্মার ভর হলে তিনি বলে উঠলেন:“দায়ূদ আমরা তোমার পক্ষে| আমরা তোমার সঙ্গে আছি| হে য়িশযের পুত্র- শান্তি! তোমার শান্তি হোক| এবং যারা তোমায় সাহায্য করে তাদের শান্তি হোক| কারণ তোমার ঈশ্বর তোমায় সাহায্য করেন|”দায়ূদ তখন এই সমস্ত ব্যক্তিকেই তাঁর দলে স্বাগত জানিয়ে, তাঁদের ওপর নিজের সেনাবাহিনীর দায়িত্ব দিলেন|
KJV : Then the spirit came upon Amasai, [who was] chief of the captains, [and he said,] Thine [are we,] David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace [be] unto thee, and peace [be] to thine helpers; for thy God helpeth thee. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.
YLT : And the Spirit hath clothed Amasai, head of the captains: `To thee, O David, and with thee, O son of Jesse -- peace! peace to thee, and peace to thy helper, for thy God hath helped thee;` and David receiveth them, and putteth them among the heads of the troop.

ESV : Then the Spirit clothed Amasai, chief of the thirty, and he said, "We are yours, O David, and with you, O son of Jesse! Peace, peace to you, and peace to your helpers! For your God helps you." Then David received them and made them officers of his troops.
ERVEN : Amasai was the leader of the Thirty Heroes. Then the Spirit came on Amasai, and he said, "We are yours, David! We are with you, son of Jesse. Peace, peace to you. Peace to those who help you, because your God helps you." So David welcomed these men into his group and put them in charge of the troops.

BNV : মনঃশি পরিবারগোষ্ঠীর অনেকেই দায়ূদ যখন পলেষ্টীয়দের সঙ্গে শৌলের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করতে গিয়েছিলেন তাঁর সঙ্গে য়োগ দিয়েছিলেন| তবে পলেষ্টীয় নেতাদের আপত্তি থাকায় শেষ পর্য়ন্ত দায়ূদ শৌলের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধে পলেষ্টীয়দের সাহায্য করেন নি| এই সমস্ত পলেষ্টীয় নেতারা বলেছিল, “দায়ূদ যদি তাঁর মনিব, শৌলের কাছে ফিরে যান তবে আমাদের মুণ্ড কাটা পড়বে|”
KJV : And there fell [some] of Manasseh to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle: but they helped them not: for the lords of the Philistines upon advisement sent him away, saying, He will fall to his master Saul to [the jeopardy of] our heads.
YLT : And of Manasseh there have fallen unto David in his coming with the Philistines against Israel to battle -- and they helped them not, for by counsel the princes of the Philistines sent him away, saying, `With our heads he doth fall unto his master Saul.` --
RV : Of Manasseh also there fell away some to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle, but they helped them not: for the lords of the Philistines upon advisement sent him away, saying, He will fall away to his master Saul to the jeopardy of our heads.
RSV : Some of the men of Manasseh deserted to David when he came with the Philistines for the battle against Saul. (Yet he did not help them, for the rulers of the Philistines took counsel and sent him away, saying, "At peril to our heads he will desert to his master Saul.")

ESV : Some of the men of Manasseh deserted to David when he came with the Philistines for the battle against Saul. (Yet he did not help them, for the rulers of the Philistines took counsel and sent him away, saying, "At peril to our heads he will desert to his master Saul.")
ERVEN : Some of the men from the tribe of Manasseh also joined David. They joined him when he went with the Philistines to fight Saul. But David and his men did not really help the Philistines. The Philistine leaders talked about David helping them, but then they decided to send him away. They said, "If David goes back to his master Saul, our heads will be cut off!"

BNV : মনঃশি পরিবারগোষ্ঠীর য়ে সমস্ত ব্যক্তি সিক্লগ শহরে এসে দায়ূদের দলে য়োগ দিয়েছিলেন, তাঁরা হলেন- অদ্ন, য়োষাবদ, য়িদীযেল, মীখায়েল, য়োষাবদ, ইলীহূ আর সিল্লথয| এঁরা সকলেই মনঃশি পরিবারে সৈন্যাধ্যক্ষ ছিলেন|
KJV : As he went to Ziklag, there fell to him of Manasseh, Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zilthai, captains of the thousands that [were] of Manasseh.
YLT : In his going unto Ziglag there have fallen unto him of Manasseh, Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zillthai, heads of the thousands that [are] of Manasseh;
